The singer was born on 26 November 1986 at Santa Monica California in the United States of America. She is the daughter of her father Vincenzo Barba and mother Valerie Barba. Her family relocated from Point Pleasant New Jersey when she was just six years old. As for her education she attended Red Bank Catholic High School in New Jersey. She then attended Catholic University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in architecture. She began playing violin at age 4 and she was known by the name Violin Girl. Due to her musical shows, she gained the title as Violin Girl. She taught violin lessons to kids in the area. At the age of nineteen, she appeared on Season 6 of American Idol and sang the 1976 single Free. She was eliminated after the 16th rank. The singer has performed a variety of songs like 2009's "The Songs of Christmas" as well as 2010's Out for Blood. Her appearances have also included TV shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live!
