Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe came from a multi-cultural household. Her birthplace was in South London. She is English, and her father was Nigerian. Her family was on the southern part of London Council Estate and went to The Brit School aged 14. She was a student of acting in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. She was on stage in numerous productions during her time at school such as the King Henry V, as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe first began her acting career through the film Storm Damage. Since then she has appeared in Teachers as well as Doctors. Madekwe landed her first motion picture role in the Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. Following that she was cast as Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she appeared in Trexx as Ollie as well as six episodes of Flipside. Also, the ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl saw her in 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe also played the title character in How to lose friends & betray people and be apathetic, which premiered on Sony Pictures Entertainment the year 2008. Her credits in the theatre are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe was a part of Ashley Davenport on the ABC show The Beautiful Life. The two-episode drama aired just two weeks on The CW and then it came to an end. She was cast in February 2011, as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. The show premiered in May 2013 and it was revealed that Madekwe, who had appeared on the show as a series regular for the previous two seasons was to leave the series following a guest appearance in the premier episode of the new season. Madekwe starred as Tituba on the show Salem from 2014 until 2016. Then, in June of 2012 she was married to her long-time love actor Iddo Goldberg. Together, they worked in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He was also a part of the cast alongside Madekwe on Salem.

Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into a large, extended family. She was raised by her parents Roy and Patty together with four brothers who were older than them: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley grew in arenas or baseball fields because her brothers, who were all athletic, were hockey players, baseball players, and both in the spring and summer. Ashley was never a walker, she was a dancer, and at age 2 1/2 years old she began Baby Ballet -and she fell in love. Ashley discovered her love for dance at this age. Ashley competed in top-level divisions of tap, jazz ballet, hip hop, Acrobatics, Lyrical Musical Theatre as well as pointe until the time she completed from high school. Ashley won the best soloist award at every major dance competition, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, to name just a few.
