Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports as young as fourteen years old. She was a kickboxer, boxer and wrestling before she made her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC in front of Jaimee Nievera. Ladd kept building on her triumph during Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought three times in a row. She knocked out all her competitors in the initial round. Then, she returned to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen was able to defeat Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia Calvillo handed Aspen an unanimity loss and beat her in a match that tarnished Ladd's professional career. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen was signed to Invicta FC in 2015 to begin her career as a pro. Invicta 11, she was able to take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta 16, she was able to move from Bantamweight to her battle with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen utilized the techniques she learned from wrestling to defeat McGill. She ended the fight with a an KO (3rd round) (elbows and punches). Aspen later fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, at the catchweight (138.1lb), as Ladd had missed weight. In spite of this, Aspen was able to take on Hoy. Aspen won her fight via TKO in the second-round. Invicta FC, 21 was her last promotion fight. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks prevailed by a majority vote. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina as she ground-and-pound beat her to the TKO win in the second round. She continued her dominance and scored an even impressive victory in her next fight against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd stopped Evinger's fight after the first round. The winner also got an extra bonus for her performance that night. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes was in the UFC's Fight Night dos anjos-lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was her first fight that she's ever had in any significant capacity. Ladd was the winner of the fight of the night bonus, after both fighters had a fierce back and forth battle. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd in just 16 seconds to end her losing streak. After a short break, she returned to finish Yana Kunizkaya of the UFC in their ESPN 7 third-round fight. For a replacement last minute to her UFC match, she faced Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. She lost by unanimous decision.
